Letter To A Whiny Young Democrat

The sane people of this nation know that 'job creating' miracles aren't going to come from government. That's not why the TEA party backed candidates. We want the government off our backs, shrink itself down in size, stop spending money, and let the free market create jobs.
Ahahahahaha, well, we will see how much the market creates jobs, it hasn't so far, but now that the Republicans are running the House, I am sure instant market job creation will happen, people won't invest in Wall Street to get rich, they will start investing in America. viola'.

The Tea Time Republicans didn't really tell the voters how they were going to do things, and this is where it gets interesting! because I really don't think the majority of Americans are on the same page as the partiers! but I am mostly wrong! I don't get the "average" American, anymore and the people whose future we are ruining stayed home and didn't vote! So, go figure!

He's not. Watermark is a brave soul, being a Libertarian in the mask of a liberal democrat.

My children and me I can no longer be denied health care and neither can they. It helped my parents, too, it closed the medicare donut hole on prescription drugs!

your new mandated healthcare was going to cost you a fortune. you do realize this, right?

No, I don't, it is not what my daughter tells me, she being the deputy director of Medicare. It would have cost me one way or another. She use to work for Aetna, she has seen both sides of the issue and has decided to fight the insurance system! and a advocate to take the profit out of medicine!

The actual political alignment of urban and rural people hasn't change much. But the rural areas have shrunk considerably. They use to be the largest group, and now they're firmly behind the suburbs and urban dwellers.
That could very well be. It would be interesting to see the history of elections by district going back some time, I'm pretty sure that would bear out your observation. I know that at the State level in most, if not all States, that rural counties have a disproportionate level of representation, and thus political power, relevent to their numbers.

Cain and Able the sheep herder and the agriculturist, yes, it has always been a part of us. We hate anything that is different!
It would probably be more correct to say we fear that which is different.....except Dixie...he's as different as they come and I'm not the least bit afraid of him. :-)

true. thanks for the correction...I can hardly wait for the Tea Time Republicans to save America, I wonder if Rand Paul has his super hero costume picked out for the first session of Congress?

Palin in 2012! Super Grizzled!

Yea, yea, yea...shrink the government, shrink the government, cut taxes...it's just a religious mantra to ya'll. Ya know, until ya'll start talking seriously about what you actually would cut that is meaningful (meaning cutting the military and entitlements) no one even remotely takes you serious. It's just plain demogoguery. Get back with me when you want to talk about cutting our military in half. Now that would be a meaningful reduction in the size of government that would both reduce risk and an internal threat to our democracy.

Amen, and Tea Timers wouldn't even address the DoD on the trail, chickens...

Here's Tea Party philosophy in a nutshell. "Get rid of all government programs that don't benefit me and only me!"

have you missed all my posts where i've discussed 20% right across the board, including military?

Just the opposite, as a matter of fact. If you had taken more math then 6th grade multiplication then maybe you'd realise that when these reforms are completed they'll cut our cost, as a percentage of GDP by around half, even more. Just like they have done for the rest of the industrialized world. Were the only fools who stick with the worlds most expense pay or suffer system, you do realize that don't you?

which is why the companies are CURRENTLY raising ALL of their premiums, so that when the supposed reforms take effect, they lose NOTHING.

I guess you didn't take statistics and probabilities when you went to school?

You couldn't cut costs in half as a % of GDP just by taking it out of the insurance companies.
