Yet in none of those elections did a majority of Boomers ever once vote for the Democrat, which is the point. A 9-point margin is still significant when 75% of them turnout to vote. And that was in 2004 when John Kerry, a Vietnam Veteran and Boomer, was on the ticket.

I'm not saying ALL Boomers are bad. I'm just saying their time as an influential voice in Democratic policy needs to come to an end.

Boomer Democrats like Bill Clinton had a hand in pushing the Overton Window to the right through triangulation and Blue Dogs...both of which came back to haunt them once Obama was elected.

BTW - what happened to all those Blue Dogs? Oh right, they all lost while Obama cruised to a second term.

The Boomer Democrats are what gave us the Blue Dogs, and how did they help anything in the long run?

Blue Dogs opposed Obama and ran against him in 2010. By 2012, they were all gone while Obama cruised to a second term.

When given the choice between a Republican and a Democrat pretending to be a Republican, voters will choose the Republican.

Boomers didn't understand this and thought the Clinton conventional political wisdom from the 90's would pay dividends downstream. They didn't. In fact, those Blue Digs prevented single payer and a Public Option, they prevented the Employee Free Choice Act, they prevented shutting down Gitmo, they prevented a stimulus that would actually be effective, they prevented a fast and complete withdrawal from Iraq, they prevented holding Wall Street to account for the fraud they perpetrated on the economy.

This was all done because of Boomer strategizing.

It's time to be like Pelosi, set an expiration date, and gradually cede leadership and policy to the youth.
