I'm in Thailand, long way to go for cake! It will take several years at least for the aircraft industry to reorganise but there is a huge desire for people to travel that is unquenchable.

Trump is making the Supreme Court another tier of government. That was never the intent- but it has, quite obviously, become a danger to American democracy, therefore the country ought to be investigating ways to get rid of it. As a tier of government it is unfit for purpose.

If the Supreme Court is a political body, as it seems to be, its members should be elected. It would seem to me, though, a better bet to try and take it out of politics and appoint its members on more rational grounds.

The political part influenced by the voters is the appointment by the president and senate confirmation. The lifetime appointment takes it out of politics (somewhat).
