Less Republicans believe in Evolution today than in 2009

The only way evolution and creationism contradict is if you take Genesis LITERALLY. That God created the earth in exactly seven days and that a 'day' to God is the same as it is to us.

Now what is interesting is how you have argued in the past that the true beliefs of those surveyed were more nuanced in reference to a similar poll from Gallup. In that case you were trying to deny the prevalence of young earth creationists. Here you are arguing that one must accept common descent and the spontaneous origin of life along with evolution. There is no end to the different ways you will lie to try to make the data fit your shifting and incoherent ideas.
 
I want to start by pointing out that Einstein was a physicist not a Biologist.

Now, ID suggests a Creator, that does not mean that the Creator did not use evolution to attain the result or humanity.

So, Creationism in the Traditional Christian tradition says that God Created Adam in human form about 6000 years ago. We can safely assume Einstein did not believe that.

One can believe in the precepts of intelligent design while still believing that evolution occurred. Its not one or the other.

Now the fundamentalist Christians specifically do not believe in evolution.

All of this aside, Creationism and intelligent design are not scientific concepts, they are spiritual. Evolution is a scientific concept that might have spiritual implications depending on what you believe.

What scares me is not the ID'ers but those who deny evolution.

Sure but, again, it does not follow that he did not acknowledge that evolution was the most likely scientific explanation of how humans got here.

We need to get our definitions in line...

ID is a form of creationism that includes evolution.
Young earth creationism is the idea that the earth was created about 10K years ago (timelines suggest at least that much and have some gaps that could include much longer, not the 6K that people keep repeating).

Now there are several forms of ID.

One suggests that God created the world with a sped up timeframe. Billions of years passing in each "day" of Creation. Using evolution he created Man in his own image.

One suggests that the story in the Bible was symbolic and that God used Evolution to make men.

And finally, one suggests that God is impersonal and that the end goal wasn't arrogant mankind, but life in general. It may be that God is still working, we're not smart enough yet and he's only partially through his "creation"....

ID rejects evolution as a natural or unguided process.

Many YECs go with 6000 years including Ken Ham and his AIG.

Whether it is rejected as guided or unguided doesn't change what I said of the three basic types of ID. Some who believe in ID believe that God understood that if he began life "now" that it would end with the result that he wanted. Basically he set into motion the "natural" evolution that you say they "reject". Nor does it take into account the last of the three main types of ID listed in my post. You didn't read, Dung, you assumed and took off on a misrepresented and disingenuous tangent.

ID is not limited to the several theories you have listed, there are about as many theories as there are independent thinking people.

Those are the basic three categories, inside which you will find myriad different views. I would call none of these theories though. They are not supported by evidence.
 
I personally believe that God created the natural world, holistically, that includes all natural processes including evolution and any others. The intent was to create what is and what has been and what will be. Time is simply one of those natural processes so its a part of what was created.

To me that is an example of one of the possible theories that falls under the title "intelligent design".
