Leftists Attack Air Force Football for Uniforms Honoring 1942 Doolittle Raiders

Why do the service academy football teams wear the ridiculous costumes that they've all worn in recent years?

One would wish that these revered institutions
would opt for more dignified and traditional style uniforms.

I don't recall anyone being upset when this uniform was introduced...https://www.si.com/college/2020/09/22/air-force-honor-tuskegee-airmen-uniforms.. this particular Institution seems to enjoy an occasional change of uniform to honor others who served before them...

I'm not saying that it's a big deal. Far from it.

When I watched football, my preference was always for traditional looking uniforms.
I guess I show my age.

Anyway, I don't watch sports the way I used to.

I grew up walking distance from the old Boston Garden and from Fenway Park,
the former being a very short walk from the North End,
but even the latter not being out of the question on a nice day.

If not, a subway token was only twenty cents.

I do like modern Boston, seeing that I have to live someplace,
but I liked my old Boston even more.

I don't imagine that would surprise anyone who knows anything about me, I guess.
Old curmudgeons tend to be like that--what can one do?

i would gladly go back to the good old days...in every way that I can think of.... Including uniforms...and mascots...;)
