This is really you telling on yourself. The mayor says that we should cleanse racism from the country, and you take that to mean cleanse you.

So the only conclusion one can draw from that is that you think your white identity is tied to racism.

I don't give a fat fuck about gun control, abortion, pandemics, race relations, me too, or any of that other shit that belongs on the back burner for now.

WE NEED FUCKING UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, STRONG LABOR UNIONS, AND MUCH BETTER EDUCATION. (This forum alone shows how stupid so many Americans are.)

Everything else comes later and is useless anyway without healthcare, protecting workers, and educating ourselves.

You have hundreds of thousands of people in this country protesting in the streets over race relations and you are saying put it on the back burner?

It's not ONLY about white cops killing African Americans. That happens much too often and suggests racism that must be addressed, but we tend to get too far off the path with our recommended solutions.

It's ok for white cops to kill armed black people shooting into a crowd or black cops to kill armed white people shooting into a crowd.
In those situations, the ethnicity angle isn't even a relevant factor.
But you'd never know it to listen to the talking heads.

That is a statement I agree with then in the context it was written. We have all allowed black people to be treated differently from whites by the police, and by the judicial system. We have allowed systemic racism.

I just think if we don't want to do the right things and stop Policemen from killing people at will on the streets- NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS!

"Killing people at will" is murder already. It must be enforced as such.

Not killing people who pose an immediate physical threat to people and property (in the absence of other immediate ways to restrain them), however, is dereliction of duty and possibly suicide.

Actually, killing people, it it's not done sadistically, may very well be more humane than putting them in our disgraceful prisons.
