I think he/she's saying that Totalitarianism is primarily a right wing trait. Not that can't happen on the left. It can and it has. But any time that the left employs totalitarian methods, it's all about power and control and keeping the status quo....that pretty much throws them into Conservative waters....no matter what political party they identify with. When freedom and Democracy go out the window you can no longer say it's "left wing".....IMO, anywyay.

Like hell it is. They were neither borne of the right nor agree with it. The right wing as it stands in America is not the right wing of dictators.

Let's see....look at the right's position on gay rights, abortion, public assistance, public education, minimum wage, SS, health care, labor, etc....everything they stand for is designed to keep the already powerful in power and to subjugate the masses.

Just because here in America, the status quo doesn't shoot people for dissent, doesn't mean it's not oppressive.

Where has all of that welfare and abortion gotten the black community.

They would be better off if you leftists would stop caring about them.
