People are panic buying. It'll settle down in a week or three, but the price will set record highs.

Gas is currently $3.099 here in my area of Wisconsin. It's nowhere near the almost $5/gallon that it hit in 2022 under the Autopen. In fact, it's still quite a bit less than it averaged during the Autopen years.
