It's all right there in the article and has nothing to do with an NDA. Daniels sued Trump for defamation and lost and was then ordered to pay Trump's legal fees.

Daniels sued to get out of the NDA and the case was moot because Trump agreed to not enforce the NDA. - Trump owes Daniels $44,100 for her lawyer fees in that case.
Daniels sued Trump for defamation when he denied the affair and attacked her on Twitter. Trump won that case and Daniels owes Trump $300,000 for Trump's legal fees in that case.

2 separate cases. Daniels doesn't owe one cent for the NDA.
