Thanks for admitting that the demographic that made America great is the only one that can do it again.

What we've had with the increasing of those other demographics is higher crime, higher dependency on the government, higher rates of bastard children, and so on.

I’m married to an immigrant. When Trump started manipulating racial resentments and the the GOP embraced a hostile rhetoric of scapegoating illegal immigrants my wife, a legal immigrant, asked the following pointed rhetorical question.

“If they feel that way about illegal immigrants, how do they feel about me?”.

That would be a mistake. Believe me, having gone through the immigration process you want an immigration process that prioritizes family vs. economic merit. That’s for the reasons you mentioned.

Families are the functional units of our society. Not corporate or business interest. Families have a far greater stake in contributing to this nation than business interest whose only real concern is economic.

Now that isn’t to say those of high ability and merit should not receive priority in legal immigration. Let’s not create false dichotomies. However those interest should remain secondary to the interest of families.

Hell no. Manufacturing, which drove our economy in the 50’s, has been irrevocably changed by technology. Not trade or immigration. It will not employ the numbers that it once did. Nor would it provide the quality of life or standard of living we currently have. That’s why.

Cawako’s comment is based on a free market fundamentalist false premise that people who work and produce for a living that advocate collectively negotiating for their best economic interest, as business and corporations do, is some how a reactionary throw back to the 50’s, is utterly false.

Clearlt she was talking about citizenship. She was referring to illegals -that was the demographics. I'll go by her own words

When the world changes to the point of not being what one once enjoyed, as it always will, the relief is that we're all going to die anyway.
