Latest Tesla fire

Your drug use has you confused and addled. Being the six best selling car and being on fire are two different points maybe there's somebody around you that can explain how that works. this isn't about anybody failing this is about you being a stupid fuck

You made the claim that my gas car is more likely to catch fire and were ax'd to back up that claim. You failed to do that, in fact your link didn't even mention the word "fire", and I'm the one who is supposedly on drugs. lol

That's not opioids that's doing that. It's a natural talent that all attention whores have.

OH - LOOK, Owl is "just being her typical whiny gossip-girl bitchy cunt hypocritical self"??

The model 3 ia the 6th best selling car in the US. Your gas car is 5 times more likely to catch fire. Get back in your mothers basement and stay there.

Out of all the cars I have EVER owned (about twenty of them, never an electric one), I have had only ONE catch fire. It was caused by a short in one of the high tension leads of the ignition system where it ran too close to the induction system fuel lines.

The car was not totaled. Replacing the induction system was all that was required. Got one cheap from a wrecking yard. That's called 'recycling'.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, AND the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), AND the Federal Highway Administration, AND Telsa automotive itself, Teslas are about ten times more likely to catch fire than any gasoline car. The first almost always totally destroys the car.

Fortunately, these are class A fires. They can be put out with water. The cabin is pretty well protected too, allowing the occupants enough time to safely pull over and escape the fire.

They burn hot, though. Lots of water is required. These cars will sometimes burn just sitting there (no accident). They will often catch fire in an accident that results in enough distortion of the frame to cause a short. It doesn't take much. Clearances between conductors and the vehicle frame are pretty tight. No fusible link is possible with such current requirements.

When these batteries burn, they provide some of their own oxygen. They go up like a firework. The chimney effect out the sides of the car from the battery compartment can produce some spectacular flames ejecting out the sides of the car. Water extinguishers put these fires out by reducing the temperature, and removing some of the oxygen available for the fire, breaking the fire triangle. By the time the fire is out, the battery is destroyed enough that it will not burn again, despite the still existing short that cause the fire in the first place.

According to sales figures, the best selling vehicle in the United States so far in 2019 is the Ford F series pickup (589000 units sold). This is followed by the Ram pickup (at 421600 units sold), the Chevy Silverado (354000 units sold), the Toyata RAV4, the Honda CR-V, the Nissan Rogue, the Toyota Camry, the Chevy Equinox, the Honda Civic, and the Toyota Corolla (at 213600 units sold).

All gasoline powered cars.

Of the electric cars sold, the Tesla Model 3 comes in as the top seller (with a mere 51828) units sold in 2018.
