Conspiracy theories all work the same way. Imaging a ball labeled, "The Truth." Now, there are lots of arrows pointing at this ball, those are "Facts." But there are a few arrows that point away from the ball as well. They too are "Facts."

What conspiracy theorists do is glom onto the few arrows pointing away from the ball while ignoring the arrows that point at it. They then declare The Truth wrong and create an alternate truth that becomes their position.

Hey, you were the guy who CLAIMED all sorts of knowledge about sediment settling but yet you never seem familiar with standard sedimentology things.

If there is a god that imbued us with a rational mind, we obviously are supposed to cultivate it and use it to search the truth in his revelation of the natural world.

Coming to idiotic conclusions and studiously avoiding the truth is an abuse of the gift of rationality.

It's not ultimately about dinosaur tracks.

It's about the age and history of the Earth.

One would have to be mentally ill to believe the only thing worth talking about is morality, especially if they are routinely immoral themselves and worship a deeply immoral president.

Because Creationists and YEC folks would rather gut the entire field of earth science than allow it to show what it manifestly shows: deep time and life changing over time.

It's important because those who would destroy THIS science will destroy ANY OTHER science that threatens their faith. That's why this is important.
