They take a perfect example of a bad gov't and political ideology....then they tout an aspect of it, like atheism. That way, they can justify demonizing anyone who is in support of our Constitution NOT instituting a theology or theocratic gov't as being as bad as "those people" (in this case, North Korean's gov't).

Simplistic and obvious....the cornerstones of clowns like our Big Dumb Dog.

North Korea tend to lean more towards the Egyptian version of "godhood" for the Pharaohs. The mythology surrounding the Kim family (or the "Mount Paektu bloodline") leaders is insanely funny. One of the myths was the first Kim played golf and on his first outing had 18 holes in one. It reads like a Chuck Norris joke list or one of the "World's Most Interesting Man" commercials...

He "single-handedly" defeated Japan in WWII, for one.
He was awarded (by himself) the Double Hero Gold Medal...

Kang Chol-hwan wrote of his childhood in N. Korea thusly:

To my childish eyes and to those of all my friends, Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il were perfect beings, untarnished by any base human function. I was convinced, as we all were, that neither of them urinated or defecated. Who could imagine such things of gods?

Kim Jong-il was born in the USSR, but according to the mythology he was born on Paektu Mountain at his father's secret base. It's fun to talk about, but for folks in N.Korea this is real stuff. There is a special room in all schools to teach the mythology of the Mount Paektu family line.

Exactly. North Korea fascinates me in its absurdity. Ive read a ton on it and have seen many doc's talking about the same things you listed in your post. Interesting stuff.
