Can u imagine how bad this would be if in this area if 30% of the people had EVs and all the gas stoves and water heated were electric
 
We are steadily moving towards wholesale collapse of the electric grid. I have been told that if this happens it would take a month to get it up again. The problem is too much intermittent energy production.
 
Let us not forget the warning that the Chinese and their friends might take down the grid with energy pulse weapons....in that case getting it up again would probably take over a year, nobody is quite sure.

The reason we are heading for a grid collapse is because greedy energy providers refuse to upgrade and modernize their production facilities.

To do so would cut into their precious profits and we all know that the rich always put profits before people.

No, the production is being massively changed, the old stuff us being taken out of use....the problem is intermittent energy and the fact that the grid needs something like $1.5 trillion in upgrades to have any chance of that working, which is not being done. Keeping the grid from collapsing requires the ability to do rolling blackouts correctly, which is getting increasingly difficult to do because of the intermittent energy and the ancient grid. ERCOT almost lost it at least once....last year I think.

democrats will make sure the grid has priority feeds so that the peasants can be cut off without affecting the elite.

In fact, I think they were planning a social score to determine if someone gets electricity. One of the reasons for outlawing all other sources of energy is so the Reich can have absolute control. Put electric meters on water, and the Reich can cut off that too if they find you voted for Trump.

No, it's mainly due to the push for greentard energy sources that don't work like, solar and wind.

The systems incentives are upside down in many places like Texas, because when areas of the grid collapse the large Utility companies often make record profits during that time frame, as prices spike to record highs due to reduced supply. So they sell less for much more money.

So why would those utilities want to spend money and cut into profits to do something that is likely to reduce future profits?


Long term the answer is more solar and wind, and homes with battery walls, all run on a smart grid.

We will get to a place where those are just standard features built in to every new home and that will take the pressure off the largest utility during peak surge times.
