Good for them, I want to see more companies do this, hit them in the pocketbook?!!

In a bid to push more of its workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19, Kroger will eliminate paid pandemic-related leave and charge $50 per month to employees that haven't gotten shots. The $50 surcharge goes into effect Jan. 1 and applies to salaried associates enrolled in a company health plan. The extra expense would cost an employee $600 per year.

Medical care is expensive. If you refuse to protect yourself from the Trump virus, you should be expected to pay for that reckless gamble. Companies can see what the numbers say.

8.59 billion shots have been given across the planet, and the evidence for any health risk from them is statistically negligible, while the health benefit is significant and demonstrable.

.
I am happy to see that kroger has so many employees that they can do those things ...

I'm sure their customer's will enjoy the not fully stocked shelves and the lines at checkout ...

BTW ... how hard will it be for those former kroger employees to find new jobs ???

Kroger is just among those who will make that demand. The added cost to healthcare due to eschewing the shots is harmful to the companies. The added costs are not by Kroger, but the stubborn ignorance of the employees. The US offers them free shots.

Experimental shots dont do what was promised, increasingly have no benefits, and as of yet unknown long term dangers.

Experimental? WTF. You are really deep in the womb of right-wing conspiracies. Long term? Yeah, everyone who got the shots will be dead in 100 years.

DeSantis would not allow private companies to do such things, he is King of Florida.
