Krauthammer PWNS Obama on his deficit demagoguery

Lying? How can I be lying when all I did was asked you a question? Do you propose we make the military cuts you suggested IN ADDITION to cutting the military budget in half?

Your grammatical skills are nearly as poor as your attempts at deception.

When did I propose cutting the military budget in half, liar?

Link up, Seven-Million-Dollar Man.

As I said, YOU didn't! Another chucklehead proposed cutting the military budget in half... scroll up! You came along with a list of military spending to cut, and I assumed that would be part of the "cut the military budget in half" but you don't seem to want to go that route, so I am asking you... do you want to cut the military budget more than half? Wouldn't cutting the military budget in half probably include most of the military spending cuts you are suggesting? If not, how much more do you want to cut... the total military budget is $600 billion, I have you down for a $300 billion cut already, do you want to add more to that or not? I am asking you a question, goofball, you think you can answer without your little NYT spreadsheet?

Cut the military budget in half -Pinheads $300 billion
End Tax Break on Corporate Jets- The Obama $4 billion
End Oil and Gas Subsidies and Breaks- The Obama $6 billion
Get rid of ALL mortgage and real estate tax deductions-- various pinheads have suggested this for upper earners, but let's say ALL... $150 billion
Eliminate ALL farm subsidies - $140 billion
Eliminate ALL foreign aid - $20 billion
Defund NASA completely - $20 billion

Sub-total = $640 billion ...roughly HALF the Obama deficit for FY 2010.

Where is the other half coming from?

And once we settle the deficit for FY 2010... we need to be thinking of what we can cut or eliminate for 2011. We still have a $14 trillion national debt to pay for... keep crunching those numbers pinhead!

What a poor liar you are, Seven-Million-Dollar Man.

You think my "NYT spreadsheet" is incorrect?

How so?

Have you even looked at it?

Do you know how its methodology works?

Get back to me when you're serious.

Yes, I already told you, I looked at it and it's unrealistic and wildly off-target. I explained how it doesn't factor anything in a non-static way, it assumes and presumes that everything will remain the same regardless of cuts or increases, and that in of itself, is contradictory to reality. If you increase taxation on upper incomes, you effectively reduce the amount of revenues received, but your spreadsheet assumes there will be an increase. There are also other similar assumptions... closing a military base doesn't necessarily mean we gain that amount of revenue, because there is the matter of all the unemployment we'll have to pay when the town goes belly-up because we closed their base! There is just so much of this stuff that isn't addressed in your spreadsheet, and it's totally inaccurate. It's a nice way for liberals to make other liberals feel good about their wrongheaded ideology, and that's about it.

I know you already lied about looking at it, Seven-Million-Dollar Man.

Tell me, since you claim to have "looked at it" deemed it "unrealistic and wildly off-target", what was the first year in which the deficit has to equal 3 percent of G.D.P., so that the government could continue to spend money and cut taxes in the next few years?

He himself, as we just heard, said you can’t reduce the deficit to the levels we need without raising revenues. Then he talks about the [tax break for] corporate jets, which he mentioned not once but six times. I did the math on this. If you collect the corporate jet tax every year for the next 5,000 years, you will cover one year of the debt that Obama has run up. One year.

To put it another way, if you started collecting that tax at the time of John the Baptist and you collected it every year — first in shekels and now in dollars — you wouldn’t be halfway to covering one year of the amount of debt that Obama has run up.

As for the other one, he mentions again and again, the oil depreciation tax break — if you collect that one for 700 years, you won’t cover a year of Obama deficits.

And then here’s my favorite. I worked it out in the car on the way here. If you collect the corporate jets and the oil tax together — get all the bad guys and the fat cats at once — and you collect it for 100 years, it covers the amount of debt Obama added… in February!

And he pretends that he’s the serious adult at the table.

Way to go Chuck!

I wouldn't be siting Krauthammer. Media Matters did a study on political pundits and Krauthammer ranked at the bottom for accuracy. I think he was tied with another Fox pundit for being wrong more times then any other journalist....if you can call Krauthammer that. He's pretty much an echo chamber for people who want to hear what they want to hear.

Think if we cut the defence budget just in half, Mexico could still sucessfully invade th US, Dix?

Actually, we could cut our defense budget in half and we would still spend more on defense then the rest of the world combined does. So yea.....cuts in military spending gotta be on the table.

So because some left-wing propaganda website doesn't like Charles Krauthammer, what he said was incorrect or inaccurate?

Already calculated above, pinhead... scroll up!

How many years would we be required to go without NPR to eliminate the debt? What about those 10% cuts to the NSF? Got any more ideas, Republicans?

I don't know Dune, but cutting the defense budget in half gives you approximately $300 billion... you need 4X that much to take care of the deficit for just one year of the Obama budget. Plus, when you cut the military budget in half, that means half the military bases will be closed, and every town where one is located, will dry up like Deadwood in about a month... thousands will be out of jobs as a result. Sound like that might be GOOD for the economy, Bozo?

Yep, so we can't cut the military. Awesome. We're so close to solving the deficit problem now, thanks to your genius.

It's just 300 billion dollars. That doesn't get us anywhere.

The deficit's literally become so large that everyone uses the size of the deficit as an excuse not to do anything that cuts the deficit.

Well, here we have every cockamamie idea liberal pinheads can muster, all the class warfare, punish evil corporations, target big oil, gut defense bullshit... at the most ridiculously extreme draconian levels of defunding, and you still can't come up with enough to balance the budget for just one year. I don't think you fuckwits have any clue how much a trillion dollars is, or how deep in the red we are! In your fucked up liberal world, we can just "tax the rich" and pay for all this shit.... Forget "taxing it" ...if we took every single penny of wealth the rich control (approximately $1.3 trillion), it would BARELY pay for ONE YEAR of Obama deficits. Then what are you going to do NEXT YEAR?

easy, you take the money of the "not quite so" rich.....and the next year the "barely" rich.......and the next year the "almost" rich.......

O.K. idiot, cite where the wealthy controll 1.3 trillion dollars.
