Kodak Black's lawyer slams Hunter Biden plea deal after rapper sentenced to 3+ years

It was the equivalent of an enlisted getting Mast or Article 15 NJP for an officer. It was a misdemeanor.

As usual, you're creating facts when proven wrong. Hunter had no prior conviction. There is no equivalency to an administrative discharge and a prior felony conviction.

The DOJ does not do pretrial diversion for gun crimes. This was a sweetheart deal for the son of the Democrat President. If Hunter had been black or a Republican he would be heading for prison. In fact he would have been convicted 5 years ago and might be just now completing his sentence.

Okay, he had priors. Understandable. Hunter had a prior, dismissal from military service. As an officer, this was the equivalent of a serious misdemeanor charge meaning Hunter had a previous drug crime on his record. That should have given him an enhancement on conviction of the gun charge.
Hunter is on video weighing up 21.7 grams of crack cocaine. Having any more than 5 grams is a felony. Hunter has email arranging the transport of a prostitute to come from California to his state a violation of the Mann act. Which is a felony. Hunter has emails arranging visits with his father with foreign officials. That is a violation of the FARA act. The Federal government has a history of not offering diversion for gun crime. It is also interesting that Hunter bought a .38 revolver and he is seen naked holding an automatic while using drugs with a prostitute. Clearly Hunter received a sweetheart deal.

What's more telling is that the MSM usual list of suspects, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, the NYT, WaPo, etc., are ignoring the story almost completely or entirely. For them, it's as if it didn't even happen.

Maybe this isn't news worthy

Did Kodack lie one his gun form did Hunter lie on his gun form. The Federal government does not offer diversion for gun crimes.
This is sweetheart deal for a Democrat VIP

Where's your proof???? Remember it takes compelling evidence to convict someone.

They should. There was a big stink a few years back about how the military justice system wasn't meshing with the civilian justice system and people were slipping through despite having been charged and convicted by the military.

Army Didn’t Submit ‘Significant Amount’ of Military Convictions to Federal Databases
https://www.wsj.com/articles/army-d...y-convictions-to-federal-databases-1510777076

Back in 2016 Congress passed a law that made a requirement that the military report convictions and such to the civilian side databases, particularly with regard to firearms sales and purchases because of some high-profile cases where people were able to get a firearm despite military convictions that otherwise would have prevented that.
The guy that shot up a church in Texas had been dishonorably discharged for domestic violence. He was able to buy the gun he did a mass shooting with because the military never reported him to the database.

Kodak Black's lawyer slams Hunter Biden plea deal after rapper sentenced to 3+ years for same crime

Lawyer for hip-hop artist Kodak Black, who was charged with the same federal weapons crime as Hunter Biden and sentenced to over three years in prison, slammed the prison-free plea deal reached by the Justice Department and the president's son.

"There's no such thing as not getting jail time on a gun charge on any kind of gun charge," Bradford Cohen, criminal defense attorney for Black, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax. The younger Biden also agreed to enter into a pretrial diversion agreement with regard to a separate charge of possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

Cohen commented in a Tuesday Instagram post reacting to the news: "2 tiers of justice? Kodak was charged for the same crime. Got over 3 years. Mr. Biden will not serve a day. Feels right? Do FBI agents and federal authorities take cases personally?"

In 2019, then 22-year-old Black, who had prior convictions, was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges. He admitted that he falsified information on federal forms to buy four firearms from a Miami-area gun shop on two separate occasions.

Black was pardoned and had his 46-month sentence commuted in 2021 by then-President Donald Trump.

In speaking with Fox Digital on Tuesday, Cohen said the DOJ's plea deal with the younger Biden is out of step with a prosecutor’s typical treatment of federal crimes, especially when they involve public figures.

"I’ve never seen anyone where this offense was charged," Cohen said, "and they didn't get some sort of prison sentence. And in fact, most of the time in federal court, you very rarely see people get anything but a prison sentence.".......

So the Black gets prison time a white boy Hunter gets slapped on the wrist.

Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 3 years in prison for failure to file income taxes. Black guy gets prison time and White boy gets slapped on the wrist. Sure sounds like a two tier system of government.

I'm not sure why he's upset? He should know the pecking order by now. Dems get away with stuff more than repubs and and white dems get away with more than black dems and white dems with the highest level of power get away with whatever they fucking want.

I'm certain that if one wanted to invest a little bit of time and effort, one could find plenty of examples of Republican officials and/or their family members getting off Scott free for various misdeeds, usually of the financial variety.

First of course, was Senator Rick Scott who ran a company which scammed the Medicare and Medicaid out of tens of millions of dollars, then walked away with not even so much as a slap on the wrist.

Then there's the entire Bush family. Jeb! who went on to become Governor of Florida, once helped a Cuban con man bilk Medicare out of millions of dollars. The Bush sons together, have a long list of dubious business transactions, including former President George W.'s alleged violation of security laws governing insider stock sales when he sold his shares of Harken Oil on the eve of the Gulf War. A New Yorker article detailed sleazy activities by Neil and Marvin Bush.

So all these butthurt, politically motivated cries of a "two tiered justice system" work both ways.

The main difference being that Republicans hardly ever even end up in court over their crimes.

So, why is Teixeira in prison and Donald Trump isn’t?

 To you just being a Republican is a crime. Where is your PROOF?
