I stated I do think a lot was hidden. The point is... ALL pedophilia is bad. I don't care what group it is. It is also not a false equivalency to point to examples of pedophilia when discussing a pedophile like Spacey.

Corey Feldman talked about pedophilia in Hollywood and how he and Corey Haim were a victim. I wonder if Kevin Spacey was a contributor with either of them

1) you don't know the 'statistics' of Hollywood or the Catholic Church because like the rest of us, you don't know the extent of the cover ups

2) Again... talking about pedophilia in a thread about pedophilia is not a false equivalency.

Notice how Rana said it was the new Catholic church... that is perfectly relevant. Both groups hid pedophiles. It is an apples to apples comparison. Then YOU brought up the public school system. While the public school system pedophilia is just as bad, you are the one that brings up the false equivalency in that the public school system isn't trying to hide the pedophiles like the other two groups.

Covering up crimes is what all criminals try to do. The fact that some focus on one group with fewer known cases rather than other groups with more is false equivalency.

Again, and do try to keep up, Hollywood and the Catholic Church tried to cover up the pedophilia within their groups. That is what makes them an accurate comparison. The public school system has been prosecuting the pedophiles via the justice system.

Then why not use the date?? Catholic church had a problem w/ this for hundreds, if not thousands of years, American public or even private, not so long.:dunno:
