Kentucky aluminum plant closes

I remember when demmycrats hated cherry picking.......yet you only look at one of Trump's four years and two of Obama's eight......yeah, Obama had "the longest recovery"......it took him six years to get started on it......remember his 2012 mulligan campaign?....."give me another chance and I will do what I promised I would do the last time I campaigned"......

It didn't recover until Trump took office.
Obama 'recovered' the economy by calling it the 'new normal' and printing money hand over fist.

LOL - only "one" of Trump's years.

What good is a President's economy if it tanks his last year in office? Will that be part of his '24 campaign sloganeering - "Hey, I can give you a couple of good economic years, but it won't last!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry dude, DEMOCRATS shut down the economy using covid19 fear mongering!
It was DEMOCRATS that started the economic depression!

You can't project YOUR problems on Trump!

Bush lied us to war and Crashed the economy in his last year

It’s what republicans do

Make deadly lies and crash the economy with failed economic ideas that benefit only the wealthy

Trump is not a Democrat, dude. DEMOCRATS crashed the economy, not Trump.

LOL LOL LOL I can tell you’ve never been to a primary aluminum mill. Not only that I bet you a dollar you couldn’t name a recent policy change at the Federal Level that’s the cause of the problem.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Another one that wants to ignore Biden's executive orders!

Actually, while I was in the Navy, at one point I was buying aluminum by the semi-load regularly. Mostly 5052H32, 6061T6, among other grades and know all about machining, welding, forming, and whatever else about it.
I regularly use 5052, 6061, and 2024 aluminum (in various hardness).
Aluminum requires massive amounts of electricity to manufacture, and mills usually have long-term contracts for supply of it.
Bingo.
If this particular mill had to renew a contract for electrical power and the cost was now much higher, I can easily see that as a problem.
And the result is a closed mill, obviously.
Back when Cali was being ass raped by ENRON and having problems getting power, ALCOA among others shut their operations down and sold California their contracted power at a profit rather than make aluminum. The price of aluminum shot up significantly.
Happened up here in Washington too, since we had to help California pay for it's problem.
Now, we have a Joke of a jackass in the White House that's trying to force the country to go Green with wind and solar and all that associated stupidity.
Exactly.
That is driving the price of energy up just as it has everywhere else in the world it's been tried.
For the simple reason the solar and wind power are the most expensive methods of producing power, watt for watt, by far.

ROFL......dude, the 2020 economy was YOUR campaign slogan in the last election.......you knew you couldn't beat him unless you triggered the economy to tank so you closed the economy and put everyone on the unemployment rolls.......and you still only won by 44,000 votes in an unconstitutional election.......

All correct except there was no election. The method stated for choosing the President of the United States is very clearly described in the Constitution, and that wasn't followed.
