Kelly: Trump COS, "WE left (design of) a solid concrete wall EARLY in the admin"

Yet Trump fed concrete and a 'beautiful wall' to his DOUBLE DIGIT IQ base till last week when they were told, well it might just be 'SLATS'?

From John Kelly's exit interview with the LA TIMES.

Of Trump’s demanded wall, for which he has shut down the US government despite campaigning on a promise to make Mexico pay, Kelly said: “To be honest, it’s not a wall.” “The president still says ‘wall’,” he said. “Oftentimes frankly he’ll say ‘barrier’ or ‘fencing,’ now he’s tended toward steel slats. But we left a solid concrete wall early on in the administration, when we asked people what they needed and where they needed it.”

And this from TIME magazine. He has boxed himself in a corner with his BASE for any type of compromise. (I'm paraphrasing for Molly Ball who talks and 'types' fancier than his double digit IQ base comprehends).

TIME’s Molly Ball agreed that Trump’s recent aggression on Twitter reflected his need to please his base, but said the “maximalist position” that gets his crowds riled up might preclude any sort of compromise.

“The real problem here is that he is not able to make a deal. That’s what his supporters really want from the Donald Trump they voted for is that he famous deal-making ability,” she said. “Where is it?”
