Keith Ellison on This Week a year back sounds prophetic

Liberals like Stephanopoulos are such jackssses. I can't wait until we use over the party from them. And Keith will help us do it. The only way forward for the Democrats is socialism. We must be the party of the workers.

The GOP is the party of tax breaks for the rich and union busting. The workers will come home. The workers ultimate home is the left.

thats the old progressive/conservative division. In the world we live in the workers belong with the nationalist right rather than the globalist left.

heres what I think you dont understand though. There are many many more dung farmers in sudan rather than american steel workers. If we truly did become a borderless society with aims to equate standard of livings accross the globe the standard of living of americans would drop so much it would make your head spin.

Considering how many companies have globally integrated supply chains let me know how that works out for you. I know that your way of thinking would be catastrophic for my company who's success depends on global integration on trade.

Except that's not the world we currently live in. A major problem we have is that many working class people live where they don't have access to our IT infrastructure that places them at a competitive disadvantage by not allowing them to integrate into the global economy. Maybe we need to correct that?
