You seem like a really smart guy so let me ask you, if gender is "assigned" at birth and there are an almost inexhaustible number of genders why do doctors seem to pick only between two? And could someone choose from the list of recognized genders for their "reassignment" surgery?

I found the thread and I had corrected the news source spelling in the first post of the thread...and subsequent posts.

You can type "deficits" in the JPP search bar and you will see that the misspelling was in the news source thread title.

It most certainly is misquoting if you correct the spelling.

Not a biologist. And this is something I don't care about for a second. I realize many obsess about it 24x7, but it doesn't impact my life and I simply do not care.

I support the rights of all people to live how they want to live, as long as it doesn't negatively impact others.

Genetically, the two sexes are defined as having a Y chromosome (male) or lacking a Y chromosome (female). Adult humans are diploid and are sexually either XX (female) or XY (male).

This is usually taught at the ninth grade level and above.

Most Americans attain at least the ninth grade in primary school.

It does nor require a collegiate education in Biology to understand that biologists teach that there are two genders.

This is about the "logic" of there being 80+ genders but doctors only using 2 of them to assign gender at birth. It's also about gender reassignment surgery essentially offering only 2 options. I do not always agree with what some on "my side" of the aisle think. I have seen nobody pushing anything on kids. All I see is a political party desperate for an issue to get their gullible followers on board with an otherwise loser agenda.
