Ok and what is it you would like to see done? My mother-in-law got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in January and died in April. I don't think it's a big surprise she wasn't exactly thrilled with the diagnosis. Do you have any statistics that show the number of older ill people that kill themselves vs. those who live out their lives and die?

The facts here are this man had health issues and he killed himself. We know nothing else about the story. We don't know what kind of health issues. We don't know how severe the health issue were. We have no idea what else was going on in his life.

Right? This is random but I had an algebra teacher freshman year in high school and when kids in the class tried to give him excuses for not doing homework or whatever it may be he'd always respond 'I might have been born at night but it wasn't last night'. I hated when he said that yet here I find myself 25 years later remembering that saying.

As I keep saying thousands, if not millions, of people get diagnosed with (serious) health issues each year but don't kill themselves. So how is better mental health programs going to diagnose the few that might kill themselves? What type of programs need to be created?
 
by talking to them with the purpose of figuring out if they need help.


why do you just want to allow people to commit suicide?
