I view it like this. As White House Press Secretary you are exposed. If you don't know what you are you are talking about (or don't have exceptional b.s.ing/lying skills) it will be easy to know. You don't really have anywhere to turn for someone to cover for you.

So if this new hire doesn't know her stuff, and people try to play the race or sexuality card, they too will be exposed because the job performance will be in the open for everyone to see.

I hope she does well to be honest, but trying to defend the total trainwreck of the Biden admin is going to be an extremely tall order.

I believe in the right person being in the right place from a color-blind perspective.

This is not the woke position, but it's the most effective and intellectually defensible one.

One can believe in equal opportunity and equal status under the law and still be considered a racist and sexist in the country, just because one isn't psychotically woke.
 
She was selected because she is a woman and black, both violations of the Civil Rights Law.
