I thought that they thought the 2020 election was significantly different from 2016. It's why I asked.

There was a much larger percentage of mail in votes and drop boxes in '20. It took much longer to tally the votes than in '16. We know who won by about 10:30 pm AST on election night in '16. The vote count was far more accurate in '16 after the DNC and others that were appalled by the result demanded a recount, than the recount in '20. Way more discrepancies in '20 after the various recounts.
All in all the official initial tally in '20 was not as accurate as in '16.
But I think you knew all that.
