A man shot by undercover police in Ferguson after he fired at them during an anniversary protest of Michael Brown's death was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison.

Tyrone Harris, 20, pleaded guilty Friday to four counts of assaulting police, five counts of armed criminal action and one count of shooting at or from a vehicle. St. Louis County Judge Joseph Dueker sentenced Harris to 15 years on all counts as part of a plea agreement between Harris and prosecutors.

Charges said St. Louis County detectives saw Harris shooting about 11:25 p.m. Aug. 9, 2015, in the 9200 block of West Florissant Avenue during an exchange of gunfire between two groups of people. It happened during demonstrations on the anniversary of the killing of Brown, 18, by a Ferguson police officer.

Police said that the officers went after Harris in an unmarked car, with warning lights flashing, and that he fired at them. At least one shot hit their vehicle. Police returned fire and pursued him on foot. They shot him, they said, when he turned at them with a 9mm pistol that had been reported stolen in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Cops in Venice have been told to shoot potential terrorists on sight.

The Italian city's mayor has ordered them to target anyone shouting "Allahu Akbar", Arabic for God is Greater.

Luigi Brugnaro, mayor of the tourist hot spot of Venice, revealed the order at a summer think tank and was applauded by delegates.

He said: “Anyone who shouts Allahu Akbar in St Mark's Square can expect to be gunned down by snipers within four paces.

"We need to increase our security when it comes to terrorism. We had four would be terrorists arrested in Venice a few months ago who wanted to blow up the Rialto bridge.

"They said they wanted to go and meet Allah so we will send them straight to Allah without having to throw them off the bridge, we will just shoot them."

Last night he added: "I have never been politically correct. In fact I am politically correct and that’s why we also need a naval blockade against people coming into Italy from north Africa."

Authorities on Sunday arrested a second man in London in connection with a terrorist incident near Buckingham Palace.

A man drove up to a police van and then reached for a 4-foot sword.

Three police officers were slightly injured Friday night as they confronted a 26-year-old man who approached a police van in a restricted area outside Queen Elizabeth II's London residence then reached for the sword in his car. The man, who repeatedly shouted "Allahu akbar!" ("God is great" in Arabic), was arrested on the scene.

Scotland Yard said a second suspect, a 30-year-old man, was detained Sunday in west London on suspicion of involvement in terrorism. Officers were searching an address in the area as part of the probe.

As Hurricane Harvey made landfall, two alleged burglars were shot by homeowners in separate incidents.

One intruder was found dead at the scene while the other, who had a gunshot wound to the head, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers at the scene stated the man broke into the home and was subsequently shot by the homeowner. He was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline.

The second incident occurred in Houston on the Greater East End. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, the alleged intruder was killed after being shot by the homeowner.
