Justices asked to accept key health care reform appeal

Washington (CNN) -- A 26-state coalition has asked the Supreme Court to decide the constitutionality of the massive health care reform legislation championed by President Barack Obama. The petition filed Wednesday virtually assures a landmark decision by June, in the thick of a presidential election year.

this is going to get good. i don't see how scotus can deny cert. it is a justiciable issue. the parties have standing....etc...

i wonder how they are going to treat this given it will be an election year.

scotus will either give congress ultimate power over individuals economic decisions in all things, or they will choose to restore at least a little bit of federal limitations as prescribed by the constitution. I see little hope of ever limiting the power of the feds with this bench though. only one justice sitting there seems at all willing to adhere to the constitution.
