The trial is already set no matter what proof he has.
He needs to show it at trial.
There is no canceling the trial at this point, the best he can do is present the evidence at trial and then ask for a dismissal, regardless, he now needs to go through the process.
Revealing the information now would just give prosecutors more time to prepare to argue against it.
This is why is lawyers told him not to reveal it yet.
Of course it might not even be evidence, Trump isn't a lawyer so they may have told them not to reveal anything because they know it's worthless and may just end up hurting him in the long run.
We will have to wait and see what, if anything, it is.
