Oh, so tolerance! right! when they start having respect for my views as a Christian we'll talk. I can't stop them from doing anything they want to do in the privacy of their home. But marriage is a Christian institution, and therefore since homosexuality is a sin, I am against them marrying it's as simple as that. I do not wish them harm or, want them killed or beat up, keep to yourselves.

So Jews/Muslims/Hindu etc... don't get married in your fantasy world?
Marriage did start as a religious ceremony (and I prefer it stay that way) but when the government involved itself in marriage via licensing and benefits/rights, then those rights cannot discriminate based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
Also, many Christians believe gay marriage should be allowed.
