I can't say I really hate any people, I used to look at all Liberals as an oppurtunity to change their way of thinking, now I just concentrate on the ones who are reachable on at least some level on some issue.

If you need help answering, which are you affected more by in history, the war in the Phillipines or SS?

Yes, the world changed. The world of the 50s had blacks unable to use the same lunch counters, restrooms or water fountains as white people. The 50s had women as second class citizens.

Believe it or not, times change. In the 50s the medical community thought that homosexuality was a mental disorder. They have since realized that it is not.

My whole point was that times change, sometimes people are slower to. Just don't mistake their traditional views as someting darker or an advancing growing agenda of the religious right. They are people, at most, looking to preserve EXISTING restrictions.
They are not like Liberals who grow government nonstop.

Slowing down growth of subdivisions into wetlands, or cutting back on pollutants is great. That sort of change and slowing growth is welcome.

But these religious fanatics (and that can be the only explanation for opposing gay marriages) are screwing with people's lives. Waiting 20 years for them to realize that the world changed is not what is needed.
