Just over a month to go, and Dems still have NOTHING!

All I see flooding the boards, is one smokescreen after another from liberal democrats. Rather than discussing the issues like rational adults, they are running around starting fires, trying their damnedest to foment 'fear' among the idiot masses, about the prospects of Republicans gaining power. Their policies have failed, the economy continues to flounder, unemployment continues to abound, nothing has worked the way they claimed it would, and this is what they have left... NOTHING!

What's really interesting is, this NOTHING strategy isn't working either, in fact, it seems to be hurting in most cases, according to the polls. Yet, they continue to pound away at those mean old Republicans, who have absolutely NO power or control in Washington at this time. It's really quite funny to watch them try to blame Republicans for the sad state we're in, while they control ALL arms of government. I mean, what else can we do to enable them to make changes? Should we consider extermination of all Republicans from the face of the planet or what? Would THAT help make things better?

For the past 8 years, the Democrat party could do pretty much whatever they wanted to do in Washington, they've had full control of Congress, and they've also had the White House the past 2 years to boot. So, what have they accomplished? Well, it seems the few things they've been able to ram through, are wildly unpopular, and have simply made matters worse. They've shown no signs of wanting to be 'bipartisan' or work together with Republicans to solve the problems and challenges facing America. Nope, they have embarked on a mission to ram socialist Marxism down our throats against our will, and make us like it. They have increased our debt more in 2 years, than all previous administrations combined, and continue to lament policies to further increase our debt, as if debt simply doesn't matter to them.

Now, with the writing on the wall, and certain impending doom come election day, they have resorted to the old bag of tricks, blame the Republicans for everything, scare people to death over falsities they predict the Republicans will implement, throw up allegations of racism and intolerance, and hope that enough stupid people decide to vote on Nov. 2. The strategy is almost certain to fail, but they don't have anything else! They can't run on their record, they can't ask if people are better off than 2 years ago, they don't dare go there... it's better to keep people from thinking about that, by continually blasting away at the integrity and character of Republicans, bashing and trashing the TEA Party and anyone on the right.

They thought they had something with this "Party of No" thing, but Republicans have issued their plans, and it is the Democrats who seem to have all the time in the world to be entertained by comedians, but not enough time to assure people they won't have a massive tax increase come January. No, it's the Nancy Pelosi mentality at play... We have to re-elect Democrats to power to see what they will do! The trouble is, too many Americans already know what they will do, they've been doing it for 8 years now. It's time for REAL Hope and Change in Washington.

Hey dixie. What are republicans gonna do to get jobs back in america?

Well, I don't know what Republicans are going to be able to do, they will need 70 seats in the Senate to do anything, if the Democrats remain stubbornly mired in their agenda, and I doubt they get that. Possibly by 2012, there will be enough of a power shift to enable R's to implement some things... I think a reduction in the Capital Gains tax rate would help, along with other tax incentives for creating jobs in America. As it currently stands, the party in power hates business, hates capitalism, and is firmly committed to doing everything they can to destroy them. In that environment, it's doubtful you'll see any new jobs.

Let's be clear, you may hate the rich, you may be jealous as hell of them, but you can't 'punish' the rich. It simply doesn't work, it ends up punishing the middle class. Unless we find ways to encourage the rich to spend their money and create new jobs and economic growth, we aren't going to have any.

Well, I'm not dixie, but I think-- no! Wait a sec. I hope! --I hope the people elect someone who will repeal the health insurance mandates so employers of america can afford to hire new people in the future. The democrats have added new costs to business operations without any firm numbers on which business can plan. That alone is responsible for the lack of hiring. They have no idea how much the insurance companies are going to charge them for their employees. How the hell can you expect them to hire people when they have no idea what the true costs are going to be?

Democrats prove to be inept at business prediction. Seriously, you guys are braindead when it comes to understanding how business is going to react to your legislative bullying. Your officials didn't even read the law they voted on

"For the past 8 years, the Democrat party could do pretty much whatever they wanted to do in Washington, they've had full control of Congress"

Wow. I think I need to repeat that:

"For the past 8 years, the Democrat party could do pretty much whatever they wanted to do in Washington, they've had full control of Congress"

Wow.

All parties suck, except for the "lady's night Halloween Party, that I will be having this year. The Republicans haven't got a clue anymore than the Tea bags who are just a bunch of patriotic preachers.

It isn't going to be any fun for the next decade.

It is just hard trying to get a straight answer from you...my comprehension is fine!

Well, no, your comprehension is terrible, because I certainly didn't say I had no idea what Republicans would do. I said I didn't know what Republicans COULD do, considering they will not have a 60-seat majority in the Senate, and considering Democrats are hell-bent on embracing Marxism instead of working with Republicans to adopt common sense legislation to create new private sector jobs and economic growth and prosperity.

As we've seen in the recent past, it's difficult for a party to implement anything without bipartisan support, unless they have a super-majority. So, it's likely going to take a couple of elections cycles to get the power they need to do what needs to be done. Once they have that, there are any number of conservative ideas for stimulating economic growth and prosperity, as well as job creation.

At this point if the GOP simply impedes anymore of Obama's spendthrift policies; cut/freeze spending and keep Bush's tax cuts in place the country can actually begin to recover!

Yes, you have to first stop the hemorrhaging before you can do anything else, but real economic prosperity, the kind we experienced under Reagan, isn't going to happen until we get an administration like Reagan's with a congress who has enough power to pass the legislation into law without Democrat filibuster. That isn't going to happen in November, maybe not even in 2012, it might take another few years from there, we'll have to see. It's important not to get too carried away with expectations at this point, a LOT needs to happen first. When Republican CONSERVATIVES gain enough power, things WILL get done, you can bet on that.

If Obama doesn't go the way of a Clintonesque moderate on domestic policy after Nov. he'll lose big time in 2012.

At any rate I think we can hope for a reapeal of his Constitutionally egregious health care obamanation and impeded spending after Nov.

Does anyone see the sweet irony in the Dems who are now backing Bush and bailing on Obama with wanting to extend the tax cuts?

The stimulus bill that didn't stimulate anything and unemployment exploding in state after state after state.

Crikey's sake. Every backyard BBQ he goes to he spends the lion's share of time defending himself and his "changes".

He needs to do himself a favor and STFD and STFU!

Are ya kiddin' me? He's moving even further left! He's so left of center he needs to put a leash around his waist.
