CHECKMATE, LEFTY LOSERS

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) made a statement on April 7, 2023, regarding a federal judge's ruling.

In an interview on CNN's "AC360," she expressed her belief that the Biden administration should ignore the ruling, stating, "I believe that the Biden administration should ignore this ruling."

“The executive branch has an enforcement discretion,” Ocasio-Cortez also said on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Sunday, calling the ruling “a mockery of our democracy and a mockery of our law.”

“This ruling is an extreme abuse of power. It is an extraordinary example of judicial overreach,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Ocasio-Cortez wasn’t the only Democrat who said the White House should ignore the ruling.

Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon said he believes the Biden administration had "the authority to ignore this ruling.”

The possibility of ignoring a ruling does exist, according to Jessica Waters, professor of law at American University.

"The executive branch, they have enforcement authority. So they get to decide", Waters told USA TODAY.

“The courts rely on the legitimacy of their rulings,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “We know that the executive branch has an enforcement discretion.”

For all the leftists screeching that Felonious Trump is "ignoring" the rulings (which I'd be inclined to say he should have) he is appealing.

34 x felon Trump isn't the threat to the Constitution. The Democrats seeking to usurp the powers of the executive branch are.

The only way to prevent judicial overreach is to ignore their rulings. There is a balance of power in the 3 branches.

There is a school of thought that each of the 3 branches can interpret the Constitution. They are all created by it, and have their own say. It is not obvious that Marbury v. Madison is correct.

Most of what courts do is decide issues among private citizens - that’s their main role.

Making political decisions is not.

POTUS simply saying - jump in a lake - is not obviously ‘unconstitutional.’

DO IT, Donald.

@JoshMBlackman: "I appreciate that Scotten thinks that the Trump DOJ's approach to criminal prosecution is 'foolish.' I think much the same can be said for how federal prosecutors have approached public corruption cases for some time. And you don't have to take my word for it. Add up all of the unanimous Supreme Court rulings."

You are fishing for an excuse for Trump to ignore all rulings he disagrees with. You respect the law like Trump does, about zero.
