Well, except when some Christians are talking about gay marriage, or a host of other issues.
You conflate sin with punishment.

Sorry, Charlie. The bolded is a myth.
If you're going to talk about Islam, don't get all of your info about it from right-wing blogs.
Not at all. Just pointing out that some cherrypick the OT.
Anyone can make any book fit their agenda. And that's exactly what too many religious people do.
There simply is no parallel in contemporary Christianity.
You can get it from any Muslim who advocates adherence to strict sharia law. Do you really think they just make this stuff up lol.
There's a controversy amongst Islamic jurists over whether sharia should just be based on the Koran or the Koran plus the Hadith. If you want to say the latter group is 'wrong' that's fine. But that doesn't exempt Islam. Strict sharia is nothing more than a pretext to use such barbaric practices as stoning for adultery or apostasy.
There simply is no parallel in contemporary Christianity. The problem for Christians is they have to be free of sin before they can stone anyone.
Per Jesus.
Swing and a miss.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
This represented a distinct shift in the new testement as well as Jesus accepting punishment for our sins.
This is the crux of the new covenant.
Most non Christians don't get it but you don't have to be one.
Old testament. Swing and a miss.
Really? Hmm.
I actually know Christians who would differ with that opinion.
Actually, they refer to themselves as having had an Ecclesiastical Bypass, but at one time they took the bible as, "the thing and the whole of the thing."
Because when it comes to Christians, there are all sorts, and they interpret the bible any damned way they want, so long as the interpretation meets whatever agenda they happen to have on a particular day.
By the way, if you want a NT reference for God demanding that those who won't worship and be subjugated to him be killed, you might want to peruse Luke a little. There's one in there.
Why do billions of Christians ignore it?
Must be a really desperate attempt from CF at getting muslim support, this story happened in May 2014. And I guess nobody clicked on the link or looked at the date of the article.
9/11 happened nearly 16 years ago, but you don't let that stop you or the other Islamophobic bigots from citing it.

Conservative hypocrites won't even acknowledge this, let alone condemn it.
"Scores of Jordanians on Thursday tried to break into a church in the northern Ajloun province in protest against the reported killing of a local girl by her Christian father on the background of her recent conversion to Islam, a Jordanian security source said.
"Some residents of Al-Wahadinah village besieged and tried to storm into the church, a short time after some youth attempted to burn it down before security forces intervened," the security source told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity. He added that the woman was killed by her father on Wednesday a short time after she converted to Islam when she attended a lecture by prominent Saudi preacher Mohamed al-Arefe at the Jordanian University in the capital Amman.
"He hit her with a stone on the head," the security source said of the woman. "She died immediately," he added.
The protesters, who gathered outside an administrative province building before they headed to the church on Thursday, called for burying the slain woman in a cemetery designated for Muslims. Jordanian authorities have not commented on the accident yet.
Christians make up 2.2 percent of Jordan's eight million population, according to a 2014 census."
There is no reason or logic when such is presented and attempted to be labeled as TRUTH....all that is demonstrated is the personal hate that exists in the one that presented the false premise and expected others to accept the duplicate false premise as some kind of insightful truth. Talk about being "intolerant" while projecting their true feeling upon eveyone else.......Uncle Sig would have a field day around here.

Again...it must be pointed out that no "CHRISTIAN" killed his/her child. Because someone "claims" to be Christian does not make it so.
