The Democratic Party clown car of 2020 was full of nutjobs or people who, rightly or wrongly*, wouldn't be able to carry a majority across the country. Four years later, the Democrats are in the same boat; they don't have anyone that can beat Trump except Biden.

The fact Trump is a traitor, likely soon-to-be-a-convicted-felon and completely unfit to be President isn't adversely affecting his chances of becoming the Republican nominee. If Trump wasn't the nominee, would the Democrats really be running Biden again? I doubt it but, at this rate, it's likely Biden will become the Democratic nominee.

Well, not according the Democrats. What did the Independents and Republicans think of them?

The Democrats were victims of their own arrogance. The Russians simply took advantage of it.

IMO, history will bear out that Biden didn't want to run and Jill didn't want him to run but the top Democratic leadership convinced him to run as their best means to beat Trump. Biden would do it not out of glory, but out of duty. He was always a good soldier that way. This theory does not conflict with my previous one that Biden is best shot the Democrats have to beat Trump because they have no one better.
