John Wayne would have loved Donald Trump since both men are racists

he was a terrible actor

He was an actor for his time, gave them what they wanted for the buck, did have three decent roles, Quiet Man, Red River, and the Searchers, the vast majority of the rest of his work was the same character in different scenarios, he even played Orientals with an American accent

As I side note, just like we have actors today get up and diss the President I can remember Wayne doing the exact same thing in his time except from the right. Remembering questioning its appropriateness at the time puts today's condemnations in a different perspective

DId any of the other actors mentioned in this thread

1) go to USC

2) play football for USC

3) have an airport named for them

4) get mentioned in the greatest Christmas movie of all time Die Hard

He was, a great character actor, nothing wrong with that, but it is hard to visualize Stewart plying Hamlet, but you could see Peck doing it

steward could make you feel his emotions.

he could have done anything

he once played a murderer in "After the thin man"

"Die Hard" was the greatest Christmas movie of all time? Really?

So Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone, or Elf has been bumped by Bruce Willis?

“I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people,” he told the magazine.

I don’t feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them, if that’s what you’re asking. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

Wayne supported the Communist-chasing House Un-American Activities Committee and the uber-=right-wing John Birch Society.

Gee; I thought his comment was: because "discrimination prevented them from receiving the kind of education a political career requires".
