John Roberts' Rookie Mistake

:lmao:

Just had to throw kennedy into the fray.
Is this diversionary apologism?
Man you people are desperate lately.

I simply used a well-known example that could clearly be shown to be different today. Clinton's affair was hugely reported, while worse actions by a previous President went unreported out of "respect".

It is entirely possible that inaugurations have been misspoken before but it was just never covered by the press.

I doubt he was negligent. He probably practiced for hours and then still got it wrong and will be smacking his forehead in regret whenever he thinks about it until the day he dies.

Sometimes people, even with the best intentions, are simply imperfect.

I did see the daggers flying out of the First Lady's eyes. Ouch. Someone's going to be hearing some sharp words when he gets home.

you know, for both men, this was probably the most watched swearing in ever...i would think it would make the best of us a little nervous.

Which is why it makes sense for Roberts to bring a note card with the oath of office printed on it. Plan Bs are good things.

yeah, should have had an ear piece too...

What is it today? Is it stupid out all over the US except here? I don't remember that in my weather report last night!

The thread is about one thing, I was speaking about and to that one thing.

actually, Obama DID say the words correctly. Once he waited for Roberts to get it right.

He ended what he said with faithfully, as I remember it. That's not how it's written. Roberts restated it, got it right, but Obama still said it wrong.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." ... is how it's written.

He got it wrong

Yeah about the oath of office and Obama John Roberts. so how did your first reply include KFK and sexual indescretions?

I commend your focus on the issue.

[x] usc wins.

Not only is Obama not a US citizen, but he was not even sworn into office in accordance to the constitution.

Excerpt from future Rush show.
