John Kerry is athletic and in excellent physical shape for a dude his age.

I do not think Trump could jog a city block without having a heart attack.

Presidents are under a lot of stress, they work incredible hours under immense pressure, and they have to be mentally focused.

I do not think it is a bad idea to expect presidents to be in reasonably good physical shape, for those reasons alone.

Being morbidly obese and stuffing your face with cheeseburgers and milk shakes is not only terrible for Trump's health, it is an insult to the office of the presidency.

Interesting point you bring up. After JFK for Dems:

LBJ - Texas
Carter - Georgia
Clinton - Arkansas
Obama - Hawaii/Chicago

So even though liberals dominate the west and east coasts (at least northeast) it's been over 50 years since a democratic president from the coast has been elected.
