There is no way of knowing if he was not going to pardon him and changed his mind when it became clear that Trump was going to go gonzo in his term as his nominations show. Trump is obviously not planning on governing as a normal president. He said he would seek retribution. I would not want my son used by Trump.

the fact he didn't even wait for the sentencing shows he was never going to let this decision stand. He can't claim the sentence was too harsh - it was never handed down

In no small way I see this as kind of Biden throwing up his hands like the rest of us have and saying "OK, you want this shit? Yeah, I can do it too to benefit MY family!"

Meanwhile Trump is busy appointing every inlaw he's got (including the felons like Chucky Kushner) to appointments. Fuck, Trump will probably pardon HIMSELF for all the shit that's lined up against him (even though most of it has been "dropped" now).

America was a great "ideal". We didn't live up to much of the time but now we are all agreed that America is over. Let the mass grifting begin.
