Event 1 - Foolishly got mad while unloading car after Costco run – injured myself – needed paramedics to take me to ER – treated and released with recommendation that I get CT of head
Event 2 – went to Santa Barbara cottage hospital ER for head CT and ultrasound of lump in neck on advice of Dr. mariwalla (my PCP) – head CT negative but lump in neck was on thyroid
Event 3 – was referred to Dr. donner (endocrinologist) who recommended removal of lump and thyroid
Event 4 – was referred to Dr. zadegan (Cardiologist) who discovered a coronary blockage
Event 5 – was admitted to Santa Barbara cottage hospital to remove lump and thyroid, but the anesthesiologist checked with the cardiologist and a decision was made to fix the blockage before removing the lump/thyroid
Event 6 – was admitted to the cath lab to find blockage and a 90% blockage was discovered
Event 7 – was admitted to fix blockage (by Dr. westerman) blockage was fixed but I went home too soon and was sent to convalescent hospital – a needle biopsy is scheduled to determine if lump is malignant and immediate surgery necessary or non-malignant and surgery can wait until I am stronger
Event 8 – results of biopsy revealed that lump is malignant and surgery will be scheduled for sometime in the next few weeks - also, my diabetes now requires insulin injections rather than oral medication

OMG! I hope everything works out ok. I don't know if you got 'lucky' or not?

It sounds like you have been through pure hell. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

i suppose 'lucky', but so far (except for getting rid of bush and getting obama) it has been a rather lousy year

Well we don't agree with the Obama part, ;) However, I'll be sending good thoughts your way, hoping the medical care you are getting is the best.

well aside from the bho part, thank you and all who have and may reply, thank you

there are a lot of elderly people in santa barbara county so they treat us old folks fairly well...just turned 64

the odds are 10 to 1 in my favor, so it may not be too bad, but combined with the fixed clogged artery recover i may not be on the board a lot...those helpful but pesky pain pills

thanks:)

Sending positive thoughts your way DQ.

What exactly does it mean to "send positive/strengthening thoughts"? Nothing. It is an empty statement. A hundred million people could think the most wonderful thoughts about a sick person, but it will not make that person feel any better. So, while I cannot "send positive thoughts" (being as I am not a telepath), I will certainly keep you in my prayers Don. I hope you get better soon!

For me it is no different than praying to a non existent supreme being for a miracle.

I think my first good Karma sending got deflected over Tulsa by a 747 and hit some one in Texas. DARN!

Re-sent.
