That one will go pretty much unnoticed in the right wing narrative, doesn't fit the inflation, crime, and immigration themes their media hammers

What do you feel is being left out here? Of course someone on the left is going to want to ignore all the other more challenging/bad news and focus on anything they think is positive. Someone on the right is going to hammer more on the negatives. This isn't our first rodeo, none of us are new to politics here.

And posting a headline does very little. It's just a number. Did it beat expectations? Did it go lower than expectations? What's its projected trajectory going forward? Last month unemployment rose because more people starting looking for work. That's a good thing. Did it drop again because more people pulled out?

And of course the biggest issue is how will the Fed view these numbers? Will it cause them to pull back on their raising of rates? Or will they stay the course?

What do you want people to say?

24 months ago Trump practically guaranteed Biden would cause a massive economic depression if he were elected.

The U3 unemployment rate is fucking irrelevant! Labor utilization / participation in the US is flat or declining depending on the data you parse. Right now it's at about 62% and flat. One of the key things that determines labor participation is how generous the government is with handouts, welfare, and other social programs that allow people to avoid working while getting a reasonable level of income given to them.

Biden and the Democrats are upping those programs inducing fewer people to want to work.

The U3 unemployment rate is fucking irrelevant! .

That's not what you conservatives said during the entire 12 years of the George Dumbya Bush and Donald Trumpf administrations.

The nations population is older than it was 10, 20, or 30 years ago. A higher proportion of the adult population is retired, and the labor participation rate is lower.

Pretty much irrelevant....we know that we are headed into Recession/Depression and that jobs will be hammered.

When Democrats are in office, Republicans (especially trump) claim that the numbers are fake. (They are innacurate for sure, but they're measured in the same exact way for both parties)

When Republicans are in office, the numbers are gospel. So long as they are going down.

Your response is just ad hominem. I have consistently used the labor participation rate when talking about employment.

Only working age persons are included in the labor participation rate. So, the age stratification of the labor force really makes no difference. Retired persons aren't included in the calculation nor are unpaid volunteers and those who are 'homemakers' in self-service.
The reason it is lower is because more people are opting out of work.

One reason fewer people are opting to work is more have found a way to make themselves count as "disabled." The ADA has made disability into a cottage industry and in the roughly last two decades the number of disabled Americans has risen from about 12% of the population to 19%.

Working illegally is huge, some estimate that 20% of labor now is black market...of course a lot of that is people who are here illegally. The broke are laws from the jump and then after that feel no obligation to follow the rest of the laws.

That and the whole 'gig job' thing. It gets people utilizing it out of paying FICA taxes for example, and often results in better pay otherwise as the employer doesn't have to shovel in matching taxes, again like FICA. Working under the table entirely (no 1099) is another ongoing thing too. The feds are trying hard to hit that segment of the labor market and it's a big reason that Joke is hiring 87,000 new IRS tax agents to audit small businesses that would use cash paid workers that are under the table.

If you don't believe that, you are a fucking idiot.

The Revolution is deeply hostile towards entrepreneurs, and will continue to come after them hard. Hammering these types was a lot of what the COVID martial laws were about.

Yep. I can see the Democrats have it in bigtime for small contractors in the trades, and any small business struggling to stay afloat. Those big corporations with deep pockets just don't want the competition and the Democrats are more than obliging for a properly sized bribe to do their dirty work for them.

More importantly than that this is an assault on freedom....we are being trained to willingly take the chains.

What do you want people to say?

No single economic indicator tells the whole story, but if you want to frame the narrative, you just completely ignore any clashing information. I don't think you'll find most media ignoring the report, or inflation in general, but I can't say the same for the right leaning sources

And you are looking for an interpretation of the numbers, which again, most media will include, others, as those mentioned, will not if they don't even bring them up

It won't distract the Fed from raising interest rates, in fact, could encourage that they could be on the right track, increasing rates while not effecting hiring implying less of a toll on production

This one really cracks one up, for the eight years of Obama all we heard from the right was Labor Participation Rates, and yet, when Trump ascended, nothing, it was as if Labor Participation Rates vanished, and yet now, with another Democrat in the White House, the LPR variable has resurfaced, too funny

They know that jobs will be hammered and they are fine with that. The workers will pay for this fight against inflation that our leaders caused by making too many dollars.

"The Revolution," lets try it, just for laughs, who the f*ck specifically is "The Revolution?"

And "those guys," "deep state," "globalists," "them," etc, isn't being specific
