Its the headline on every major news cite except......


You guessed it Foxnews.

Funny when the job numbers are down they had a bigger headline than anyone? But at least everycite headlined the news.
 
Fox is a trip; they'll eventually add a headline, but it will be very reluctantly.

The connies here will still point to the 8.3% unemployment rate. But, of course, they'll conveniently forget their guarantees from 2009 that the stimulus would destroy us and have us in double-digit unemployment for years. Dixie was promising a "Mad Max" kind of world by this time...

They're still trying to find the dark cloud in the report. Last time it was the 0.3% drop in the labor participation prompted by the new census figures, but the the labor participation rate increased 0.2% in February. I'm sure they'll come up with something this time. My guess is that the true believers will just say that the BLS is making up numbers to make Obama look good.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make on this board (not saying this about you - just in general), is that when there is a thread celebrating good economic news. it's interpreted as some sort of statement or exclamation that the economy is fantastic.

It isn't - we all know that. But, we're in a better spot right now than I thought we might be at this juncture. We had a mega crash. Just getting people back to work, even if the jobs aren't so great, is a huge step. As people work, they'll still spend more, boosting the economy further - and eventually, those low-paying jobs will turn into better jobs, and so on.

How are things goin', anyway?
 
Still nothing on Fox... They really missed the story this time, is there news room that slow? Everyone else beat them to the story?
 
Fox is not the Conservative equivelent to CNN or MSNBC, they are in a catagory all alone. MSNBC and CNN did not ignore the bad economic numbers, they headlined them. Fox however has ignored the good numbers thus far!

I hear you. It's the nature of the board that most discussions have a political overtone or backdrop that gets involved in economic type debates.

I'm good. I'll tell you from a local perspective technology is BOOMING out here. If you work in technology there is no recession or downturn. It is crazy. I'll give one example. My buddy has lived in his one bedroom 700 sq.ft. apt. for about nine years now in the South of Market area of San Francisco not too far from the Giants ballpark. He got it right after the dot com crash for $1,800/mnth. He is paying $3,500/mnth today. $3,500/mnth for a one bedroom 700 sq.ft. apartment. WTF is that? You work in construction you hear of struggle. You work in technology not the same.

Wow! If I could afford to pay that much on my mortgage I'd have it paid off in a year. :)
 
My sister had a rent controlled apt in San Fran for $800 mo for about 20 years, on knob hill. It's prob going for as much now.

Section 8 housing and rent controlled units are two different things. Section 8 housing is paid for by tax dollars. Rent controlled units are paid for by the owner and other renters who pay more to subsidize the rent controlled units.
 
tff...superfreak and myself get slammed when we point out when the lefty MSM does this stuff....but a lefty points it out about fox and the lefties swallow it like gospel.
