Jimmy Kimmel's Political Hackery : He isn't just a comedian

I've seen no evidence that Lurch doesn't care about these things. I think the problem is that though we may want to know the truth/reality, it's not always so easy to see. From birth, we are taught many things. Many of the things we are taught aren't actually true. It can be hard to unlearn false narratives that we have been taught are truthful ones.
I am working on my over optimism problem.

I think you're suggesting that I too have an over optimism problem :-p. In this case, though, I definitely believe that a lot of people are overly pessimistic about others' motivations. I really do believe that most people -want- to see and speak the truth. It's just that it's not always so easy to do so.

Exactly.

It is way later than you think.

If you're suggesting that the west is in for a hard fall, sure. Honestly, it seems to be following the same plot line of a sci fi tv series I like a fair amount called Foundation, itself based on a series of books from Isaac Asimov with the same name. As with the plot of said series, I don't doubt the fall, but I -do- believe that we can at least soften the blow.

I am suggesting that you travel with rose colored glasses.

We could....but we wont.....the people suck too much now.
