JetGate just gets better by the day

They're going to utilize it for the time being.
They are not going to utilize it any time soon. Before it can be used as AF1 it would require a complete retrofit. The planes Boeing is currently building will probably be done before this plane is retrofitted. The US would be stupid to put a President on the plane without stripping it down to an aluminum shell first to confirm the plane is not a security risk.
Nope... They gifted to the DoD.
That is the latest story after first saying it was gifted to Trump personally. The DoD should be smart enough to not put a President on that plane for at least 2 years until it has been retrofitted.
Wrong again.

No he doesn't. Wrong again.

Right. It's not Trump's plane. The DoD will utilize it, then it will become a part of the presidential library.
Why would a plane that the US just spent $1 billion retrofitting end up in a presidential library? That seems to be a great example of waste and fraud to not put the plane in use for the next 20 years.

Yeah, their going to fly Trump

For Trump

Right, Trump is going to let others fly around in Air Force One

Yea he does

So you’re telling us the 400 million dollar plane is going to exit DC with Trump and will sit at Maralago unused so people can take tours of it? NEXT

Such a job doesn't take anywhere near that long to accomplish.

Such a job doesn't cost that much.

Several of the earlier AF 1, and even Eisenhower's Columbine (before AF 1 became a thing) are in museums today.

This plane was found sitting abandoned at Marana Air Park in Arizona

If it doesn't take that long, then why has it taken over 5 years to build and outfit 2 new 747s to replace the current AF1? There are actually 2 such planes. Whichever one the President is on is AF1.
Fake news.
The claim of people that are too stupid to make a valid argument. Simply yell 'Fake News." Are you too stupid to make any valid arguments? It would appear so.

Of course it does if it is done right. Every electrical system has to be removed and replaced. The plane has to be fitted to allow for in-flight fueling. It has to be fitted with all new electronics that will survive an EMP blast. It requires the protections from missile attacks that are on AF1. Then there is all the secure communication equipment that is required. Or do you want the President on a plane that is less secure than the current AF1?
Such a job doesn't cost that much.
The new 2 AF1 planes being built have cost over $3.9 billion so far and aren't yet done.
What waste? What fraud?
Outfitting a plane with all the AF1 requirements and then only using it for 1 or 2 years before replacing it with another plane is waste of the worst kind. The current planes have been in use for 30 years. One outfitted the plane would have a useful lifespan of 20 years. Not using it for that long would be wasteful. Intending to not use it for that length of time would be fraud.

Ask Boeing.

It doesn't take anywhere near that long to refit a plane.

Ask Boeing.
Boeing says it takes that long because of the requirements and sourcing of the equipment required to outfit the plane takes that long.
It doesn't take anywhere near that long to refit a plane.
Would you care to tell us where you got your expertise in in-flight fueling? Then you can tell us how you would source the parts and install them in less than a month.
Where did you get your expertise in hardening electronic gear to protect from EMP? Then you can tell us how you would source the parts and install them in less than a month.

You are proving you are a complete idiot.

This plane is close to twenty years old, and a new Air Force One is on order and contracted for 2028

You do realize that there is a reason nobody wanted it and Qatar has been trying to dump it since 2012

You're such a old fool Arsecheese, the plane is 13 years old not 20 ffs!
