Definitely on the wait and see.

But I'm looking for reasons to doubt Trump's sincerity and I can't come up with much. Of course, trying and achieving are two different things.

But do the democrats get out of his way if he tries? Would they risk opposing him?

I'm convinced many of them don't know what they could be in for.

Jackson set a higher ideal here then rank partisanship that grips the ( many) Dem's minds they don't even want Trumps emphasis on helping stressed cities.It's illogical bleating by many (not all)

But Trump can put them in a position to where they either need to help him help the poorer urban precincts, or obstruct in order to keep the Trump=Hitler narrative going.

What are they going to do? Which is more important to them?

Maybe I'm over thinking it and/or giving Trump too much credit, but if he is scheming to undermine the democrats in the Hyper Blue urban precincts he's a pretty slick operator for a non-politician.

Or maybe he doesn't give a crap about the political power play and just wants to help the poor urban people.

I admit I don't know which.

How many republicans did you hear say they were going to work with Obama?

In 8 years, very few did, and obstructing Obama became a republican mantra. They even brag about it.
