If there is one thing you can count on, on the right, is that it is only once they become abused or victims themselves of the systems or people they push in to power, they suddenly then see how bad it or the person is.
It is the same when it comes to being hateful of gay people, or wanting people locked up for victimless crimes, etc, until they end up with a family member that is gay or in jail for a victimless crime.
