They wanted to keep their children in the same school in DC. It is common for ex-office holders to stick around DC, especially if their children are still going to school there. Now that both their children have graduated, they are in the process of moving to Martha's Vinyard.



They stayed in DC when trump was president, and are in the process of moving out when Biden is President. I hardly think trump was offering the Obama's a place to stay, which is why the Obama's got their own place.

He wanted him, just for the sake of being important, but I’m sure he’s not getting them, and he’s afraid if he asked for them they would be refused. He would be embarrassed if they were publicly officially refused. Trump hates being embarrassed more than just about anything.

This is a man who got teased by Obama, into running for president in the first place.

Moving to Martha's Vinyard is fortuitous in the present, because the Obamas planned out their retirement carefully. They are smart, hard working, competent people, but things do not "magically" happen for them.

There is a point that trump has to take responsibility for his life. Democrats did not force him to declare bankruptcy, and rip off all his investors.

As for the intelligence briefings, his lack of functional literacy means he would not be able to read them anyway. It hardly "destroys" him not to get them. He will just have to think of another way to make money, other than selling our national secrets to China and Russia.

There is no way trump would have read the intelligence briefings anyway. Someone like Obama, or Clinton loves reading them, because they love learning new things. For whatever reason, trump lacks the willingness, and possibly the ability to read, and certainly has no love of learning.

It makes trump feel important, and being left out makes trump feel slighted. There is also the very real chance that trump would sell the information to make some money on the side.

1. Trump recently signed three bills to benefit Native people. One gives compensation to the Spokane tribe for loss of their lands in the mid-1900s, one funds Native language programs, and the third gives federal recognition to the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Montana.
2. Trump finalized the creation of Space Force as our 6th Military branch.
3. Trump signed a law to make cruelty to animals a federal felony so that animal abusers face tougher consequences.
4. Violent crime has fallen every year he’s been in office after rising during the two years before he was elected.
5. Trump signed a bill making CBD and Hemp legal.

(Spoiler: Trump is MORE HONORABLE than Joe.

Trump ACCOMPLISHED MORE in his life and career than Joe.

And all the things that Joe did are MUCH WORSE than anything Trump did.

Trump is better and also not as bad as Joe.)

trump inherited a lot of money, stole a lot more money, and got below average returns. Had he took his inheritance, and put it in an unmanaged index fund, he would be a lot richer today. his returns for himself has been below the market average. his returns for everyone who loaned him money has been negative.

While in office, trump failed in ways no one thought even possible. he could not even do the simple speech making we expect of a president. Almost all the corporations ran out of cash-on-hand which has never happened before. That one happened months before Covid-19, so we still have not figured out what that was about. Then there was oil prices going negative, which will kill the oil industry for generations to come.

Biden spent his entire life/career telling lies after lies, and it kept him out of the presidency. Until the Dems went full Orwell, and his habit became a prerequisite to candidacy.
