Japan, amatuer video of destruction

Holy crap.... talk about the destructive power of mother nature.

Watch this 6 minute video as the force of the water escalates and rises. What starts out as water moving tiny cars becomes total devastation.

Send help in whatever manner you can. They are going to need it.

You would have to be a little nervous standing on that building, wondering, it that water going to keep rising???????

Incredible, and I have donated to several causes and I also have ordered some Aqua Straws and have replenished my "flight" bag!

yeah... did you notice the water level rise finally pushed him/her to higher ground and then swallowed up the place he/she had been standing.

Watching those buildings get demolished was insane.

It's actually a bit much for me to wrap my mind around; the extent just keeps growing & getting worse.

SF - I can't remember; have you been a pro-nuke guy in the past? Just last week, I was saying that nukes are undesirable, but probably necessary for energy independence. With what has happened in Japan, it has certainly given me pause for thought on that...

It may be necessary down the road, I would prefer we use nat gas and try to use as much solar/wind/etc... as we can in addition to nat gas to get us off of oil dependency as much as possible without using nuclear.

At a minimum... I don't think nuke plants should be anywhere near fault lines/tech plates meeting etc...

I think it would depend on where you build them and whether they are built to withstand what can hit them. In this case, the worst that could happen is about Three Mile Island (where the containment actually worked)... They did a pretty good job.
