Wrong. Not only is this societal level insanity, not only is the West dying, but going forwards the entire planet is to be under the control of the New Chinese Empires bureaucrats.

Beauty is only skin deep but ugly, Leftist anti-Americanism goes clear to the bone. Beauty fades, dumb is forever.

Could somebody translate this climate gobbledygook?

CLIMATE COMMUNICATIONS

The social plausibility assessments show that global opportunities for climate action multiply, gain visibility, and materialize at least incrementally. …”

Densification of the global opportunity structure for climate action

A dense global opportunity structure that provides a variety of resources for climate action is a necessary condition to increase the momentum or change the direction of social drivers toward deep decarbonization. In the present Outlook, the social plausibility assessments show that global opportunities for climate action multiply, gain visibility, and materialize at least incrementally. In relation to the previous edition, we observe a quantitative increase of climate-related activities, such as more climate-related regulations, protests, net-zero pledges, and transnational initiatives within UN climate governance and beyond (Sections 6.1.1, 6.1.2, 6.1.3, and 6.1.4). However, these activities do not necessarily translate into a reduction of persistent ambition, implementation, and knowledge gaps. We observe only limited evidence in terms of qualitative shifts in the global opportunity structure for climate action. These relate to incremental changes in soft and hard law or to voluntary and binding schemes of climate governance (Sections 6.1.1 and 6.1.5). Negotiations at the COP26 in Glasgow, UK, have not managed to address implementation gaps and required steps to phase out fossil fuels. This is by and large also true for COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, which took place after our assessment of UN climate governance was finalized. Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), transnational initiatives, fossil-fuel divestment, and corporate responses remain largely voluntary, despite the pressure from climate litigation and social movements to render these into legal provisions or policies (Sections 6.1.2, 6.1.6, and 6.1.7). In fact, the densification of the global opportunity structure in terms of quantitative increases still requires qualitative shifts in the resources for climate action, such as new forms of activism, new policy instruments, and hardening of soft law (Sections 6.1.3, 6.1.4, and 6.1.5). The same is true of low-carbon consumption patterns (Section 6.1.8) and increased integration of diverse actors and ways of knowing into knowledge production, decision-making, and climate governance processes (Section 6.1.10). In this regard, Indigenous Peoples play a crucial role in bringing these issues to the fore along with climate protests and social movements and in helping preserve existing natural forests, which can make a greater contribution in terms of natural sinks toward carbon neutrality than affor- estation (Sections 6.1.4, 6.1.10, and 6.2.5).

What about wealthy white celebs' jet setter lifestyles and mansions, you spoiled rich kid, Jane?

Hanoi Jane is an America hating, racist piece of shit. This rich white lib bitch thinks only Blacks are poor.

And what about the Appalachian coal miners that suffered enormously for decades, Jane?

Jane Fonda was already crazy in 1970. Don't you remember "Hanoi Jane" posing for "happy snaps" with communist troops while seated on NVA anti-aircraft artillery pieces during the Vietnam War? That all went down like a lead balloon in the States at the time - some 50 odd years ago (!) Jane Fonda has been a stupid dip-stick her entire life.

Why do you think she was never charged with treason?

I think because She was a major US, celebrity at the time. Also, she was very attractive - an American, national "pin-up". Charging her with treason would not have gone down well with the American public in 1970. It was much easier and smarter for Nixon to play down her "Hanoi Jane" stunts in Vietnam as being the foolishness of a stupid, young, woman who didn't really know what she was doing (which was, indeed, the case, because she always was a stupid bitch) She simply didn't understand the gravity of her actions in Hanoi in 1970, which was a very fraught year for America in the Vietnam War) than be seen crucifying this beautiful, young, Hollywood starlet with a treason rap.

I do agree with you, however, that what she did in Hanoi in 1970 was treasonable.

It was not but treason but your analysis is spot on.

I think Jane turned out to be a pretty nice person, in spite of having such an emotional upbringing.

Her mother was severely depressed for many years, as she struggled to be the wife of an actor that spent most of his time away from home making movies, while she was at home raising the children. Her father complained he was unhappy for most of his marriage with her mother, and they never got along very well when he did come home. When her father asked for a divorce so he could marry another woman, her mother deteriorated and was sent to a mental institution, where she committed suicide when Jane was only 12 years old.

Her father remarried right after that, and then they never got along for the same reasons, and that marriage was over in just 3 years when Jane was only 15 years old.

Her father then sent Jane to live and study at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, Connecticut; then the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York; and after graduating, she attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She did not graduate there.

Jane and Peter both said that their Father never really paid much attention to them, and that they pretty much had to raise themselves through their teenage years.

Neither Jane nor Peter had much of a relationship with their father until he was retired, old, and ill!

So her immediate family life and upbringing was rather sad and cold.

But, Peter and Jane were able to grow up and become successful in their own right.
