That comment was certainly not something one would expect to hear from a Trump attorney at a hearing before the SCOTUS.
The comment was certainly 100% accurate, just a bit unexpected.

He talked to them for hours and then told them to March to the capital as the hour of the congressional meeting was to take place


Then he sent them messages of encouragement as they rioted


When you assemble the criminals and send them to the crime sight

And then encourage them as they do crimes
