Jacksonville Sheriff: Guns Don’t Cause Shootings, ‘Wicked’ People Do

The solution is to keep wicked people from having guns. In Catch-22 fashion, if you want a gun, you must be wicked. Only wicked people want them. Therefore a gun buyer is a wicked person..

Leftist "logic" on full display ^^^^^^^

Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters stated on Sunday that guns are not bad, but some individuals who cause shootings are.

Waters’s remarks came a day after a suspect in his 20s allegedly shot and killed three people in a Jacksonville Dollar General store.

In a video posted by Breaking 911, Waters said:

“The Story’s always about guns. People are bad; this guy’s a bad guy. [But] if I take my gun off right now and lay it on this counter, nothing will happen.”

“It’ll sit there — but as soon as wicked person grabs ahold of that handgun and starts shooting people with it — there’s the problem.”

Waters is right. A mentally unstable man caused the shooting, not the gun.

And in America, because supply is so great, and access is so easy, nearly anyone who wants a gun can get a gun, even the wicked, Sheriff proved the point

You can't shoot anyone without a gun. It's that simple. So, guns caused this, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. You can't have a stabbing without the attributed weapon either. Do I really need to spell it out like I'm talking to a 4-year-old? Shootings are caused by people when and only when they have guns.

No crickets here.

This country has no more bad people than any other. What we DO have is a proliferation of guns. A country saturated with them. With few controls.

So, what do we get in return? The highest rate of gun violence of any first world country. Doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. Merely dunces to defend it.

Planes leave every day.

So, owning that rifle is fine by you?

Actually, that's a semi-automatic rifle, nothing even similar to a bolt-action Weatherby,
and that wooden stock is ok but hardly high end or anything close to it.

Since it doesn't seem to have a high capacity magazine or a para-military look, however, I suppose it's probably OK.
